I have replaced my O2 sensor but the O2 light will not go out. Is there a reset for this sensor after it is replaced. If not what else should I do to get my dash light to go out?
how many miles are on the vehicle and have you ever replaced the catalytic converter?

The truck has 90,000 miles on it. The catalitic converter is original. The truck runs just fine, the O2 light will not go out. I read in the service manual that there is a O2 light clearance switch under the dash, but I cannot find it.

In case anybody is interested, I found out that there is in fact a reset for the O2 light. It is on the back of the instrument panel. All you have to do is move a screw from one hole to another, that's it. The O2 light will go out. The next time it needs resetting you just move the screw back to the other hole. Some bullshit the manufacturer came up with to get people to go to the dealer.

It happens to my Mazda at 30,000 miles. A little light comes on reminding me that it's time to have my oxygen sensor checked. A faulty oxygen sensor can give bad data to my car's computer so always checked it to be sure. If in case I need to replace my Mazda oxygen sensor (http://www.oxygensensorwholesale.com/mazda.html) , I also need to reset the sensor light by myself yourself. It's a relatively simple procedure. I crawl under the front of my car (by the spare tire). The counter is located about ¾ of the way down the speedometer cable under the left side of my car. It's a small black box with a couple of wires and the speedometer cable attached on both ends. On one side of the box is a shielded button. To reset the light, I used a probe (pencil, pen) to press the button until you hear or feel it click. I usually need to do this several times before the light is successfully reset.. Hope this helps...
