Ok guys, heres the deal, my parents gave me my first and 2nd car, first being a 93 xj and 2nd being a 01 regal ls. My mom put the miles on both of these cars, but I have managed to kinda keep em goin as much as possible. My mom is a 53 year old nurse, who used to home health and drove alot so there was no hot roding in this car!(just thought some back story would help)

Problem: 01' Regal LS: Charging system works(puts out 14.4 at all times untill system is charged, then floats @ 12.6), battery is good(cranks my jeep like crazy), starter is good, engine turns freely. Car will discharge battery to 13.01v from 13.6 and eventually go down to 12.7-8 in 24 hrs. Car will not start, but when you manually turn lights on, it starts. Any ideals??

not sure what you mean by this...

It has automatic lights, but if you pull out the light plunger, the car starts. Sry but I had to go last post, but here's the rest.

The guages just start clicking.....just went out and tried it again, and its fixed...... will post back if it screws up again.

It sounds like you may have a short someplace in the dash or dash harness, possibly even the lighting circuit.
