i am looking at a 1992 lumina Z34, it is bright red and really clean body but dirty interior than needs cleaned, but good shape otherwise, it needs a head gasket replaced but runs, what would be a fair value on something like this ? especially in a regioin where cars this age are not very common as others are- especially better ones such as the Z34 ?

i got an aprox kbb value of about $1,700

blue book is $3100. BUT, you better have a bundle of cash to keep repairing various parts. I bought mine for $1300 as is, have dumped $4200 into it since feb. I like to work on it, but maaaaaan it seems like when you get one thing fixed, something else goes. I love the car to death and now it runs fantastic, luckily I had the cash to do it. oh, hate to mention, but you pretty much have to lift the motor for just about anything you fix in it. there is simply no room to work under the hood...
you also have to have the timing belt done every 60,000 miles...
