I have an 82 chevy c20 and my speedometer has gone out, i looked for a fuse but was unable to find one. Any suggestions, if there is a fuse what would it say i could not find a instrument one

82? Isn't it driven by cable?

Yes it is and I would bet that the gear that goes into the trans is worn out or the cable broke. Check it out and replace it.
