Compressor's pulley bearing is gone, screaming like hell.
Both with AC on and off - so it is not just a clutch plates.
Mechanic estimated $500 for rebuilt compressor, plus labor,, plus ++++
Total about $950
Damn it! I bought shorter #5060795 serpantin belt for $35 and it took me 3 minutes to install it bypassing the AC compressor.
By summer I will decide what I gonna do - pull compressor and replace the bearing, or just run without AC.
As for now, Aurora is running so quiet that I don't hear the engine!
