I would like to know how you can bypass a chipped key circuit to start a 1996 Lumina. The engine was changed - it now has a 1991 Lumina engine in it. It won't turn over, start - nothing. Please help!!

Was the ECU swapped as well? I don't see why it wouldn't start, the key circuit should be the same unless you swapped out the ECU.

Yeah no reason for the locking mechanism to be replaced and new chip given.

Hmmmmm that's not good. You might end up needing the ECU to be flashed by the dealer with the coding in the key you currently have. I don't know any ways around it, that's why it's there lol.
