My cooling runs nonstop even when key is off, I changed the relay but it did not stop the problem. Does anyone know what would cause this problem? Please help

Thanks in advance!

Does it stay running forver, or just shortly after you turn the key off?

For quite awhile after you turn the key off then it shuts off after about 10 minutes!

It's possible this could be normal and it's just part of the cool down procedure, I'm not positive though.

it is not normal because it has never done this before, we have had the car since 01, it runs constantly when the key is on also! It has just started doing this today.
But thanks so much for your time I do appreciate it

it is in fact normal for the fan to stay running for a while after the engine stops. many different vehicles have the feature. it's to help cool things after the engine has been running hard.

if it's happening more than normal, and you're not driving the car harder than usual, then yes something may be up.
when was the last time the cooing system was serviced? (flush/refill)

It defintely sounds like you might have a heat issue.. those fans run based on ECT. engine coolant temp.. so either a. you have a bad sensor, b. you have a cooling system thats overheating in some fashion. or c. you have a pcm related problem with the ECT sending the signal to the pcm at what point the fan turns on.

Defintely check your cooling system.
