1. disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery
2. Drain the cooling system (have the air conditioning system discharged by a service station or other repair shop)
*WARNING* do not disconnect any of the air conditioning hoses until this has been done
3. Disconnect the heater hoses from the heater core tubes at the firewall and plug the fittings to prevent coolant from spilling out during removal.
4. Remove the 8mm bolt from the center of the evaporator sealing plate.
5. Remove the two torx bolts and carefully detach the H valve
6. Carefully move the refrigerant lines to the front of the vehicle (do not scratch the valve sealing surfaces)
7. Plug the refrigerant lines to prevent contamination to the air conditioning system
8.Remove the condenstate tube
9. Remove the steering colum-to-dash bolts and lower the column to the drivers seat
10. Remove the lower instrument panel and the forward console
11. Remove the four nuts that retain the assembly to the firewall
12. Pull the right side of the instrument panel back until it reaches the passenger seat.
13. Disconnect the electrical connectors to the resistor, blower motor and temperature control cable.
14.Disconnect the hanger strap from the heat/air conditoner assembly and bend it out of the way.
15. pull the heater/air coniditioner assembly out from under the dash panel and remove it from the vehicle.
16. Place the heater core/air conditioner evaporator assembly on a workbench.
17. Remove the screw holding the vacuum harness and feed the harness through the hole
18. Remove the screws and lift the cover off.
19. Remove the screw from the heater core tube retaining bracket and lift the heater core out.
20. Istallation is the reverse of Removal
(I will see what i can do for you for diagrams)
hope that helps.
