It will be between 40-45k. And here are some performance stats 0-60 in 4.5seconds, mid 12 for 1/4 and a topspeed of over 165mph.

According to Ford a early to mid 2007 release. They said don't expect in any lots earlier then March. But I'm sure you put some money you could get one a month or so early.

They should be about $40K. But expect a $10-$20K dealer markup.

I expect that for atleast the first 6months of release. The car is really worth it since its the last mustang that Carrol Shelby will work on. Great resale value.

Got the skinny on the new GT500.

The reason they have not been opening the hoods on those for any of the car shows is that the Lyscholm screw-type blower that was supposed to be on there has been replaced with an anemic Eaton M.221H unit limited to 8.5 lbs of boost. Actual HP is 465. The new hybrid blower as they call it is supposed to be way more efficient than the 03-04 Cobra blower but it's still just an Eaton. Which means the airflow is limited. Expect similar HP numbers as the previous Cobra motor, so like a maximum of 650 HP or so with the stock blower. Of course swapping it with a Kenne Bell or better yet, a twin-turbo system should get you into the 900-1000+ HP range. But it won't be as easy as I had once hoped because that stock blower just doesn't have the flow capacity. They chinced on a bunch of other stuff too, which leads me to an interesting conclusion. 1) It will be less than $40K as promised. 2) At 3850 lbs, it's not going to be the monster they promised. 3) It won't be as valuable as people think. But I'm sure that won't stop dealerships from tacking on $20K to the sticker.

Personally, I love the styling, and the potential, but I'm holding out for a Challenger...

Damn its going to be all most 4000pounds. Well as long as it can still run 12's stock I'm happy but if it run's 13's I'm going to seriously pissed because I have been so hyped about this car. And since they kept the GT price so low I guess they are trying to keep the GT500 not too expensive. I was thinking if I were to get one I would deffinetly take out the pack seats to save some weight no one over 5'6 would be comfortable back there anyway.

I'd wait a few months so the dealers prices somewhat cool off. I know its hard but by then maybe there will be some performance parts out for them.
