Oh man, this one has ALOT of possible problems. Even though their is fuel in the tank, that does not mean it's getting to the engine. Could be a fuel pump, fuel line, fuel filter, spark plugs, spark wires...process of elimination when it comes to this one.

Out of curisoty, how did you check for sparK? Are none of the cylinders getting a spark?

How loud is your fuel pump? Is it very loud? At this point, it may be a fuel filter problem. Is yours in line or is it in the tank?

Yeah, if your not sure than dont make it sound like ur sure, just saying, anyway, it could be all of the above, I'm getting a feeling its has something to do with the spark.

Spark needs to be cheked with a special device. I asked about the fuel pump because if a fuel pump is loud it could be ready to go out. Is the fuel filter easily accessable?

One thing you can do is get a service manual for it. That will help you out alot.

If you hold a screw driver in the number one cylinder wire while its off, then rest it against the block (or a good ground under the hood). You can get someone to turn the key while you check for a spark. DO NOT TOUCH THE METAL OF THE SCREW DRIVER. I have done this and... wow. Keep in mind this is a roadside way of checking. I would use a volt meter or very sturdy light tester. But if there is spark, pull the line off the engine side of the fuel pump and see if its dry. You can do this along your line to find your problem

voltmeter wont work. There is a very inexpensive device called a "spark plug tester" (this is the technical term). Ask at the store how to use it. Buy one. Use it. Get back to us.

Have you tried replacing the fuel filter? I had an s10 a while back that ate filters regularly, due to a gas tank that was slowly deteriorating.

Even though you hear the pump turning on doesnt mean the pressure is correct, you need over 45-50 psi of fuel pressure, you could buy a cheap fuel pressure tester and screw it onto the fue rail, this will require you to pull the dog house or as a quick check you could spray a little carb cleaner into the throttle body and see if it starts, if it does start and then die you know you have a fuel problem, then take you test light or more prefered volt meter and check the grey wire going into the gas tank thats the power wire it will only have power for about 3-5 seconds when you turn the key on or will light your test light for that time, if you have power to the tank and it runs on cleaner you most likely need a pump assembly( fuel pump module).
