Tons of '73 Eldorados were made - tens of thousands. That's probably the most recognizable of all Eldorado bodystyles.
The 500cid engine is crazy - it was the largest engine ever in a factory production car until the '03 Viper came out and equalled it. However that engine doesn't score you any extra points - every single '71-'78 Eldo came with it (as did all '70 models, of the prior generation). What's crazy about that engine is that despite the gigantic displacement, it was rated at like 250 horsepower.

I Was trying to get a value for the car. My neighnbor wants to sell it but really have know idea what its worth. It has 45,000 miles lots of options sun roof its huge.. Any idea what it would be worth????? . Its a hard top I guess most of these cars were convertables. It says EL Dora below port hole window behind rear doors. thanks kevin

A 1973 Cadillac Eldorado paced the Indy 500 in 1973. Cadillac manufactured over 42,000 Coupes that year as well as 9,315 Convertibles. I drove from Rochester New York to Tampa FL in 1974 in one, real nice highway car.
