on cold mornings (near freezing) my s10 has a hard time starting. My guess is change to a more liquid oil? just making sure..

also

when its night and i get in my car, and it has headlights that turn on automaticaly, and when i crank it on (foot on the brake too) it sometimes (rarely) shuts down all electronics except the clock, and the gear selector lights.. this would be an altenator problem if im not mistaken?

thanks for any help

Yeap..that would be my guess. You can have your battery tested at most part stores as well as the alternator.

i forgot to mention that it resets my clock, and the elec. comes back on when i turn the headlights off (push dome cancel 4x) and also let off the brakes...

Check the battery, if your volt gauge is reading 12 or above your alternator is fine, I think you got a weak cell in your battery, have it tested then go from there.
