Hey everyone, I've got a 1995 Tahoe, with the 5.7 and the starter's going out.

Can anyone tell me if its a 168, or 153 tooth, and if its a straight or staggard bolt patter?

Will one from a gen 2 block work ? Thanks

Gabe

Edit, from what I can find, its a 168 tooth, and its staggard.. Im going to go look at it in a few hours.. Thanks.

It's a standard 168 tooth.. don't go throwing a used one in there. Best bet go to an autozone or a local parts store and pickup a reman for about 150 bucks or so. Most places carry a life time warranty.. they are a pain in the ass to change so I would only want to wiggle my hand in there once
Good luck

150 bucks???? hell no, if its a standard large unit 350 starter, it wont be more that 50 bucks. but if its the newer, smaller model, than it may be 130 at the most.(i managed an autozone for a year)
