for an s10, what are the engine swap choices? i was thinking of trying to get a 350 into it eventually, if theres a kit to do so. also, would the new 3.7L fit in nicely? im thinking of buying a second s10 and making one my dream s10 and the other a commuter car.

350 swaps are kind of common on S-10's A few companies make conversion kits to swap SBC 350's into S-10's personally I would go LS1. I have seen a Twin Turbo 350 S-10 before. Thing is a monster. Sport trucks magazine did a thing about hwo to drop a V8 into an S-dime a few years ago. I will dig up the mag and post it. It's in the crapper for reference material.

i think i have my plan now from surfing ebay, im gonna get my hands onto a second s10, preferably an 80s one, and throw an edelbroch 350 in ( http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/crate_engines_intro.html ).. the one i saw (on ebay) that i liked was .3 overbore... dream s10 (ebay) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1990-s10-s-10-v8-355-built-fast-drag-show-custom_W0QQitemZ220046452334QQihZ012QQcategoryZ134 88QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) then i want to get it painted high gloss metal flake black, with red accents.

S-10's V8 swap is not very hard at all. Any of the small blocks will fit. The LS-1 is going to be a little more of a bear to get in there because of the motor mounts but it can be done. I would stick with an 80's model just like your plan and get an Old skol 2 peice rear main 350. Back in High School, I helped a buddy put a small block 400 in a toy'o'duh. Very fast and very lite. Keep that in mind. P.A.W. has all the part and peices you might need for the swap. Good luck, sound like fun.

thanks for the help xero and txchevy.. i was looking at stuff and it said for the 350 it needs the (if i recall properly) 2.4L mounting holes. how bad is it to add these holes? im sure i can handle it (youve gotta see the ghetto brackets on my exhaust), but im just curious. this wont be for several years, and i need to put a f150 engine into a 03 mustang GT and rebuild a good deal of a camaro first for 2 friends.
