Hi guys first time posting in the chevy section, but i was wondering if anyone could help or has any idea about the 1962 "Nova's" or otherwords Chevy II's, i am having a problem with the rear end, it originally came with the 4 lug drums we replaced the entire rear end with a 1966 ss rear end, same width same yolk length and everything, but the only difference is the brake lines they are different sizes any thing that could help remedy this situation would be greatly appriceated. thanks guys.

different sizes as in thread size?
I had a 66 a few years back and Im trying to remember what the brake lines looked like. I know you can get different fittings to work with the threads you have if you are talking threads.

You can find the parts to join them at any hard ware store. I would up-grade all the brake lines if you are going to bigger brakes. If your not, check the plumming department. I wouldnt use brass, try and find the fittings in steel.

the thread size is an odd-ball, they are 5/8ths coming from the porportioning valve and goes down to 7/16ths, i have also upgraded the front brakes to 4 piston disks.

you are best of running new lines and using new wheel cyl's the newer rear diff has a diffrent brake proportion than the rear end you removed hence the diffrent size lines. Also the SS rear end should have larger diameter drums because they were upgraded for better stopping distance.

do either of the following:
1. contact year one, and get repro lines
2. find a 66 or 67 in the junk yard and get the lines from that one
3. go to auto parts store, and buy straight lines and bend them to fit like the
62
4. buy the tubing, rent the tubing bender and flaring tool, and buy the fittings, and make them yourself
