Hey guys, I'm new to this and modding, I recently got a 01 audi a6 2.7t
cars great but im into modding it. I figure i want a relatively unexpensive mod. I was thinking about a mod chip to make the car go faster. I was wondering if you guys know of a good chip that is neither expensive nor hard to install

Ditch the chip idea and go with an actual tune. Best horsepower to dollar mod you can do for any newer vehicle. For my vehicle, I am going with a Texas Speed tune, which is costing me $250 and will gain about 27-28hp from it. All cars are different, depending on how conservative the manufacturer was when tuning the car originally, but V8s, turbo and supercharged cars from factory are usually WAY under tuned.
Also, if you an auto and a seperate TCM, don't forget to have that tuned too. You can change shift points, rev limters, torque management, if there is alot of it, and a couple other things.
Giac X chip, down pipes, tip chip, then when the ko3's blow, then go to ko4's. Done.

Be careful about adding a really aggressive PCM/Chip to the car with the stock turbos, or the K03's will blow in short order.

read up. youll learn enough on chips to make your own choices.
IMO-go with an intake, light chip(maybe 2-3psi upgrade, 15-20hp boost), and a turbo back exhaust with cutouts. from there, hone youre driving skills. most chips are audi's and v-dubs are actually full tunes in the form of a chip, whereas most other chips are mods on the ECM. if you do those three basic things, and dont rag on the car, youll have a quick ride while keeping reliability. but remember, if you do chip/tune it go mild unless you plan on dumping the stock turbos, or have a warranty that wont void from aftermarket mods.
