I would like to know if anybody knew how to clear the trouble codes in memory on the ECC system? To read the codes, I jumpered the plug and got the code that way, now I want to clear the code using the same kind of method. Anybody want to take a stab at this?

You can reset the codes by disconnecting the negative battery cable, and then holding the brake pedal down for 15-20 seconds. Then reconnect the cable and the codes should be cleared.
why the brake pedal? just what the ecu sees as the reset?

As far as I can tell it worked! Thanks alot for the help. Cleared the code and passed the emmission test. Now I can get my license plate sticker.
Bonus question: Is there a way to jumper the plug on an 89 Buick Lesabre and then read the codes? This is the next vehicle I am working on.
