What should I look for when buying an Eclipse? I have owned an Eclipse for the past 3 weeks until I totalled it the other day. The specs were (year 2000, V6, 24 Valve, moon roof, red, manuel) I am looking for something 2000 or newer.
I also wanted to ask, How hard is it to install a turbo in an Eclipse? I have never done any modifications to an engine in the past.

It's easy to install a turbo in the first and second generation eclipse GSX and GST depending on what kind of turbo you get since you'll just be replacing the stock turbo. I say get a 97+ GST. Don't the let v6 of the 2000 and up models fool you. A 99 GSt will cost between $4-7K and then you can mod it. Plus they look way better. But if you have your heart set on a 2000 then I have no advise for you.

although this it is up to you, but you can get the best performance out of the eclipses from the 2G's. my friend owns a very nice 96. he bought a newer better performing engine, upgraded to a stage two turbo, cold air intake, struts, suspension kit, intercooler, and a few other parts and it's a beast. it's awd and he can take corners like nothing. i personally dislike the 3G eclipse bc of the bulkiness about them. they are becoming to luxury like as you can tell with the 06 wich i dislike the most.

2000 + eclipses are not eclipses nemore, lol
go with a 95+ GSX, great little car. It is essentially a EVO in different packaging, same engine, same turbo, same AWD platform.
