I bought my Stealth R/T (not twin turbo) new in 1993. Ever since day 1, I have had trouble with the windshield fogging, and I cannot get it cleared. It seems like there's a "film" on the inside of the windshield that the defroster won't clear even with windows down and sun roof opened. Silly, but I thought it had something to do with the newness of the dash and that it would eventually go away, but it hasn't. It has less than 34K miles. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Maybe someone sprayed it with an interior cleaner or something like that? Have you tried an ammonia-based product on the glass to see if that helps at all?

Unless it was sprayed at the factory, I haven't used anything except a few brands of window cleaner. Before I bought it, someone who owned a 93 3000GT said he had problems with the clutch and the windshield fogging. (The clutch was replaced before 3,000 mi.) Someone else suggested it could have something to do with the radiator?? I'm thinking it could be some kind of design defect, but don't know what to do. It makes it difficult see driving, so it's been a real pain!! Thanks for replying.

i dont like them, nor do i think they work well, but have you tried a defogging product? rainx makes one, and several company make rags and such that are supposed to do the same thing.. i dont like them personally, but they do work... for a while... sometimes..

Yes, in fact I tried RainX as well as a special white cloth for windows. There's a film that comes up from the defroster area. I keep the cloth and Windex in the car with me and just deal with it, but after all this time, I got really frustrated with it last night and figured I have to do something about it, but I didn't want to take it in for repairs without having some idea of what it could be. Thanks for the suggestion.
