ok, so i just got a 97 3000gt base (got it sunday) has a body kit, carbon fiber hood, and it's red pictures are at the bottom..... but here is the problem... in first gear (IN FIRST GEAR ONLY) if i hammer on it it acts like it wants to die and if u don't push in the clutch then it stops and i can shift fine and shift to 2nd and it wont do it in any gear but this one. the best way to describe it is just when you hammer on it, it kinda acts like the engine kinda stalls it restarts my cd player when this happens.. but if i'm ease'n into first and around 4k rpm i hammer on it it wont do it. it wont do this all the time, but most of the time it does.. please help me someone tell me whats wrong! i do have an 02 sensor out could this be causing any problems?

pictures are bleow ...

bad clutch, maybe? usually when ur clutch goes bad, the engine revs higher but the car doesn't go any faster. and you have to get the revs up more to start off.

talk to the previous owner about it, see if they had that problem. i think they might have abused the car; drove it like it was stolen, etc.

no the clutch is not bad, just had a stage 2 clutch put it, thats not the problem it's not like it revs up, it acts like your running into a brick wall.. and the car was not abused
