i can only imagine how hard that thing could be to control, so short a wheel base and all. if it's the same guy i've heard about, it's a stock engine. imagine how fast it would be modified. could be wrong, whatever though it's still a damn fast metro

The launch doesn't do anything. The timing lights don't activate until you move. You could sit there for 10 minutes and then floor it and the time would be the same. The point of the reaction time is beating the other guy off the line so you have an advantage. I have beaten faster cars with a holeshot before. I ran a 9.32 and he ran a 9.21, but my reaction time was .15 seconds faster so I beat him.

I know quite a few guys who run large turbos that sit and take a nap on the line to build boost. Nothing out of the normal.

that metro is rear wheel drive, definatly not stock modified, the whole drivetrain is custom.

The geo metro in that video is converted to rear wheel drive using the drivetrain and engine from Buick Grand National
