I would like to switch from the 1.3 to the 1.0 (4 cyl to 3 cyl) as the parts for the 4 is very difficult to allocate; I can find most anything for the 3 1.0... Loosing some power but I don't plan to let the car go for a few more years.
Mounts, Transmission, etc. issues, I don't know the mounting or etc. with trans is even close or the same..
Referral, suggestions, etc. all are appreciated.

Is it possible to take a 97 metro lsi and put like a crx or a civiv motor in it?? i want an off the wall car that no one would expect to be bad ass lol
not without a bunch of work
your best bet is to get a 1.3 liter from a gt/gti
or even a 1.6 with the 1.3 dohc head, but that would not be a revver like the 1.3

The car has the 1.3 metro motor... a whole 70 horses lol

ooooo ok sry lol well still would like a 97 civic 1.6 or so not be a better... i dont care about the work i just wanna play with it lol..... do you think my 91 mazda 626's 2.2 would fit??
probably not, just go around a junk yard with a tape measure
easiest in order
1.3 g13b swap
1.6 with 1.3 head swap
turbo either one of those
engine from another manufacturer
it's been done, theres even a vid on this site of a dude with a gnx motor in a metro
what is your goal with the car? you have a qtr mile goal? handling? what?
you throw a big engine in the front of these cars and you'll lose handling
