I recently got a eclipse gs spyder for my birthday. very clean and real nice. I wanted the turbo but beggers cant be choosers, and I dont want to look like a jerk and sell it for a new car.... but i want to make this car fast anyways. I was looking online and i saw an electric supercharger for about $230. sounds pretty good put im guessing its a waste of time. Am I right? the turbo kit is too expensive right now because i just blew the tranny and its getting redone. :( is it worth the wait? also i have no idea what the 2g and 1g thing is for sure...generation? how do i tell? also i was looking into body kits and some one told my the body on my car is 16 inches longer than the normal eclipse. is it true? do i need special side skirts? also i dont know what kinda motor i have... how do i check. Im going to do some reading up so i dont sound as dumb.
does ne one have pics of self painted interiors to share?

Electric supercharger = worthless waste of money and scam
Save up and get the turbo, the electric supercharger will only get you a smaller wallet.

yeah the turbo kit is your only option since you don't wanna be a jerk and it includes everything you need. 89-94: first generation, 95-99: second generation, 2000-2004: third generation, 2005 and up: fourth gereration. You have a second generation which is a good thing. And you have a 420A engine

u can always get a nice 1 on ebay. just make sure u know what you're looking for or they'll rip you off.
Hahn and Slowboy are a among the best
And also try Slowboyracing.com They have a nice kit for your car

Expensive but it's probably the best kit around if you can't afford it then try to look for it on ebay and if that doesn't work get the the parts individually on ebay and you should save some $$$
Just keep looking around and you'll see the "winshield washer fluid thing"

Dude I'm a huge DSM fan and Slowboy sells DSM parts and a lot of other parts. And they bought out the guy who ran 6.67 s in a GSX. I heard he's aiming for 5's now. So most people who keep up with DSM news like myself know about slowboy

When you say guy are you talking about John Shepard? Slowboy does alot of dsm stuff there one of the few that I really trust.

what you should do is call around local junk yards and see if they have any eclipses there
if they do go to there and see if they have any gs-ts or gsx;s

if you knew what pieces to get you can always piece together a turbo set up and you can do it over 1/2 the cost cheaper, but i would not reccomend it to anyone who knows nothing about turbo's or a turbo setup
