hi people. im new here hope you can help. i have a 95 metro,200.000.ks has a pretty good tick in it . runs ok drive it daily ticks been there for three months now but its getting annoying. any thoughts. tks. p.s. ticks right under valve cover.

All the time, or after start-up?

all the time sounds like its down by the starter when cold and then travels around from a tick to a dull knock ,it runs perfect,its hard to decribe. 1.3 sohc

decided to take the oilpan off today and found pieces of number 2 piston shrapnel really and pieces of the rings found another 1.3 with 63.000 ks be putting it in soon it will be nice to have a car thats decently quite again.

i guess that could be it
