Normally when I push the lock button on the remote the doors will lock and the alarm horn will beep once. Lately when I push the button, a lot of times the doors will lock but the horn won't beep and the alarm doesn't turn on or the horn beeps but the doors don't lock. It also happens sometimes when I manually turn the key.

Also, I don't know if this is related, but when I turn the car off and open the door the beeps that tell me that the key is still in the ignition doesn't go off. But if I close the door and open it again(or realize I left the key in the ignition and go back to get it) it beeps.

Does anyone know what the problem could be and where it would be in the car?

maybe the remote needs a new battery or the car does?? or some wires have a bad connection or something....idk

Something is shorting in the central locks system which makes the car think either the key is in or one of the doors isnt shut sometimes or vise versa. Other than replacing the controller inside the car i wouldnt know how else to trouble shoot this problem
