Car was getting close to oil change on drive home... Oil light came on..... I change the oil in it today... car know has a slight noticable knock and oil light wont go off.....

What kind of problem am I looking at and what will it take to fix...

Is it leaking any oil?? What is the oil pressure at? Hopefully you don't have low oil pressure. Is the car smoking at all?

NO oil leaks anywhere..... There is not even any build up under there car... NO smoking.....

According to the owners manuel the only time the "oil light" should/will come on is when there is "low oil pressure". There is No actual gauge to tell what the oil pressure is..........

After changing the oil yesterday... as I said light would not go out... Couple hours later started the car and the light was out..... OK I say to myself... but lets see if you stay out at highway speed....... Took it up the road about 1 mile and everything was fine.... on the way home.... Oil light flashes about 1o times then stays on......Noticed a SMALL drop in HP when this happened........

after then engine cooled again oil pressure was fine...

SO..... pump, sending unit or worse?????

Car is sitting until I figure it out...
