I FITTED A NEW STEREO INTO A PEUGEOT 306 (1998), IT SEEMS TO WORK, BUT WENEVER I TURN TH VOLUME UP, IT BLOWS A FUSE THAT CONTROLS THE INSTRUMENT PANNEL AND TEH CLOCK. WHY DOES AN AUDIO DEVICE BLOW THIS FUSE? DO YOU THINK THAT I HAVE FITTED IT WRONGLY? OR COULD THERE BE A PROBLEM WITH TEH ELECTRICS IN THE CAR?

You probably ran the power off of the fuse that powers those instruments, and it is not meant to handle the amperage your stereo requires.
You need to run the power for the stereo directly off the battery and put an inline fuse meant for car audio in between.
where can i get one? are they expensive? and r they easy to fit?
