I was driving last night and randomly my check engine light was blinking and then stayed on. I noticed the car seemed to rev unusually a tiny bit. I pulled over and luckily my friend had a Vagcom plug-in with him. After he scanned it we found one code which said "Cylinder 2 Misfire". After that the engine sounded normal as it was and the rest of the night it drove fine, but my cylinders could still be misfired? I had a mechanic change my spark plugs on Thursday and I was wondering if that could be why that happened. Does anyone else know what could cause this and what I should do?

I dont remember if that car has coil packs or a main coil but if its seperate packs on each cylinder then swap it with another and see if it comes back. If its one main coil then just keep an eye on it now, it might be failing

Ya it might be....yesterday I started up the car and it was cold and it was reving on its own lightly but noticably and the 2nd cylinder coil pack ( I believe it is the coil pack) was sparking for about 5 minutes then it stoped when the engine was warmed up. I think i need to replace the coil packs....
