It stands for Compact Low Emission Vehicle for Urban Transport
Supposedly extremely environmentally friendly, and can reach a top speed of 50 MPH.

Interesting design, thanks for posting that!
a far departure of the mind state of this country, but i think if you just need to run around town...what could be better? it's like how people use scooters like crazy in other countries. this is better though, no rain in the face

understatement of the year...
this is a subdivision of what rice is correct?
looks dumb, better be fast.. but its not. so its rice...
this things looks goofy ( although probly kind of cool to own...) but it should atleast be fast....
FASTER THAN 50MPH!!!!
noone sees the picture where the body is leaning into the turn? that counts for nothing? if this is the same vehicle that was on top gear then it will lean more with the amount of effort you put into the turn.
seems to me that your reactions are plain ignorant. not everything is about speed. how many other things you see like this? is everything it's greatest when it first gets made? either way though look at what the name breaks down into.....urban transport. oh and low emissions too. this is a vehicle that's designed very well for it's purpose. it will handle well, do good for the planet, and move well through condensed cities.
please try to have some sort of perspective other than it's not fast. usually there's more to a car than that

This idea has been around for a while
http://www.carver-europe.com/
However the Carver has a top speed of around 120mph, made it to production, and will soon be sold here in the US.

Love south park!
urban transport....
I can understand, and respect the innovation, engineering etc. could be great for some areas in europe.
maybe that thing was what i saw on top gear, that was like a year ago so it's a vague memory. it has a 1000cc motorcyle engine i believe.
i love the idea of something like this. perfect commuter car. but it's not at all american, it's built to serve a purpose and not just to be showy or flashy. honestly what's the most efficent manuverable personal transport out there? a motorcyle. this isn't quite one, but it gets you out of the rain and looks a million times more stable. the engine is over the rear wheels to give you a low center of gravity
oh, and my favorite episode of southpark.....giant douche vs turd sandwich. they couldn't have put it more perfectly

Nope its a 660cc
The Carver can tilt up to 45 degrees to each side and can go form full tilt on one side to the other within 1 second.
