i just bought my wife a 94 geo tracker a few days ago and so far no major problems except 1. when the thing sit for a while and i go to start her up i put it in drive it dosnt want to shift to second gear. this continues for a bit ....then after a few mins no problem. this 94 tracker had low miles (91000) and acording to the info on it it was used by a old couple as a vacation vehicle. it was towed behind an RV for most of its life. could the towing have worn something out or is this a common start up, warm up problem or something deeper like the torque converter to low transmission fluid. thank you

I have the same problem. I was told there is a valve or something in the trans that needs replacing. Hope someone can shine a little more light on it.
