i don't drive my jetta that much...i got it in july (it's a 2005 jetta 2.5). welll i tried turning it on last night and it made a weird rattling type noise and all the lights came on and then it said "airbag failure." The car won't start at all though. Anybody have any idea what's up?

Sounds like an alternator problem or a dead battery. Try jumping the car and see what happens.

werd... does it make a click sound when you turn the key? Does the radio work? see if someone can give you a jump. If it still isn't working, you've got a major electrical problem.

sounds like a dead battery and then caused the car to freak out since the sensors lost power. You are stuck going to the dealer for warranty work
