Now im trying to find a fast car under about 8 grand. I was thinking of an eclipse (one of many) mostly because they are cheap, fast, and easy to mod. Now I was wondering what would be faster 0-60. A 99 GSX or a 99 GS with a super charger. I can get both for about the same price. Another thing is whats the difrence between the RS and the GS. Alls i can find out right now is the price (the RS being aobut $500-$000 cheaper. Finally would the GS super charged be able to beat a 99 mustang GT on the 1/4 mile.

Yes the GSX is stock. Also the GSX has the Mustang on the 1/4 mile so if the GS supercharged can beat a GSX it can beat the GT. The only reason im asking this is because i know superchargers get better preformance than turbo chargers....usually. But will the AWD in the GSX still be able to take the supercharged GS down? In my opinion i would think it would but i wanted to know what other people thought.

Ok, you guys are really misinformed.

First, the GST/GSX does not have "the same Dodge Neon engine just turbocharged". It's a Mitsubishi engine called the 4g63, maybe you've heard of it. :loco:

Second, take the GSX over a modded GS anyday. The GSX is made to take 400 hp on stock internals, whereas the GS can only handle about 220-230 before needing to start thinking about replacing things. Plus, the GSX is set up to run boost already...it is DESIGNED to run that way. A lot more involved in getting the GS to that point.
