Found this on LeftLaneNews.com.....

Chrysler was ordered to pay $385,000 to the owner of a troubled Dodge Viper in what is believed to be the largest damages award concerning a defective car. Problems with the car centered around its differential, which broke several times. After the sixth time, the manufacturer refused to cover any more repairs, records show. Each time, the component failed while the car was being shifted from first to second gear at around 50 mph.

Except I hear the Corvette rear ends are fragile too... take the torque management out of the computer and kerblammo. I was on a vette board looking up a means of installing a head unit and saw a few posts about that, where mild things were done to a z06 and the torque management was turned off, grusome pics.

I can't seem to find any info, but I hope to God GM wasn't stupid enough to fit the Z06 with an "beefed up" 10 bolt posi. Those are sheer garbage. I've seen slightly modified F-bodies with sticky enough tires easily rip those stock 10 bolts to shreds.
