Interesting article.... kind of a follow up to my last post about Isuzu possibly being pulled out of the US.
General Motors acknowledged today that it is discussing the possible sale of Isuzu shares owned by GM. General Motors recently sold its controlling stake in Subaru to Toyota. GM also sold its stake in Suzuki earlier this month. In a statement to the press, the company said, “Isuzu is a core alliance partner with which GM has many long-term mutually beneficial projects and the level of activity between the two companies continues to increase. GM would not expect any sale of its Isuzu shares to have any effect on this important strategic alliance. There can be no assurance that any transaction will result from these discussions and it would, therefore, be inappropriate to comment further.”
