Looking for a speedchip or programmer that will override the governor and make my ride really kick ass... Its a 4.6L V8 30th anniversary edition Mercury Cougar.. where should I go to get a decent one?

Well its not mine yet.. It will be officially mine next friday.. WOOT!!! :woot:

I can't say that I've seen a chip available for that car, or a programmer, but as with anything, I'm sure with enough $$ you can have it removed.

There should be several. The engine in that car is essentially the same thing in a Mustang. There should be hundreds of products for you. Probably the easiest and least expensive option for you would be a JET module.

thanks,, this thing is gonna rock... LOL.. Im 21,, nobody in my town my age has a car this nice that they didnt have a trust fund to pay for... its beautiful.. looks brand new.. leather cow interior, cd, moon roof.. all power.. I did a carfax check.. It was a coroporate company car at one point.. which explains all the expensive options...

I talked to the people selling it.. the wife hates it.. she wont drive it.. she said they have a 67 camaro and it doesnt do burnouts like "that thing"... it "scares her".. its right up my alley...

the best part is, its a "granny" car... Ive decided to refer to it as "My Old Lady"... as far as I know, thats original.. I could be wrong...
