The present Golf has only been on the market for a year in its homeland, and is only just now hitting the states, surely 2008 is too soon for a replacement?

Its exactly what audi did with their models. The B6 platform was here only for 3 years and replaces with the B7 platform and now its going to get replaced again within 3 years
