the thingy with the buttons that lets u choose what heat or air you want...the defrost, rear defrost,air condition,panel vent,floor...that unit...whats it called..i need one and where can i find one...the plug that goes into the back of it looks like it got hot and kinda melted just a tad bit...i have no heat or air or defrost....help me anyone...thanx in advance

check your local junkyard or dealer's parts department. you might even be able to get just the wiring harness to replace the melted part.

I'm sure if you describe it to them the same way, they'll be able to get you the right part. my guess wiuld be the "HVAC controls" :dunno:

Its heater/ac control unit I bought one at a dealership for a 1991 Crown Victoria for a little over $100.00 or possibly may be able to locate one at an auto savage yard.
