I just replaced the inline fuel filter and the intank fuel pump. It runs great when I am abel to get it started. I have an inadvertant problem with the fuel injectors passing gas when I turn the key to start the vehicle. I have gas to the carburator, (I have confirmed theis by loosening the gas line at the carburator). So, the pump is working. I can hear it running in the tank.
My question is: Is there a faulty relay which is going bad supplying current to the injectors? Could there be a short in the wiring going to the injectors? Could the computer module have a part to play? I am at a loss. If anyone shed some light on what might be the problem, it would be deeply appreciated.

First off your vehicle doesn't have a carburator :)
I'm a bit confused by the problem you explained, but here is my stab at it:
As for the possible issues, you could have a clogged injector, or possibly a leaking injector. And yes it is possible a wire or relay between the injectors could have gone bad, but I'd look into the injector cleaning more so than worrying about wiring issues unless you moved things around.

I have already ran some injector cleaner through the system..
Let me explain a little better. When you turn the key you hear the fuel pump
starts pumping. Builds up line pressure. You turn the key over to crank the engine, gas should come out of the injectors and inject gas into the intake.
When I turn the key over, I sometimes I get gas out of the injectors and sometimes I don't. When I get gas, the engines starts. When the injectors don't squirt gas, the engine doesn't start. It's all or nothing..

You have a model 220 TBI unit, if I'm not mistaken, which looks more or less like a carburetor. I had a problem with the one on my 4.3 v6, where the injector wiring on top had gone bad. Leaned the truck out real bad, hard start, wouldn't stay running. Was very intermittent, but what I did was clean up the terminals on the inector, and very carefully squeezed the connectors inside the injector harness ends (where it meets the injector) to clamp the terminals better, and problem solved.

Gm has also had a lot of problems with the wiring at the fuel pump. Connectors loose & corroded. Sometimes making a good connection & sometimes not. Could be that also.
