According to GM Vice President Bob Lutz, the Pontiac GTO will return in 2008, alongside the 2008/2009 Chevrolet Camaro. It's going to have the same retro look as the new Camaro. :woot:

Nope, the other thread was about it getting discontinued indefinitely, this image popped up a while ago as a "possible design" if they were to come back out with a retro style. Honestly, I doubt it will end up looking like the one I posted above.

Cool. It is an awesome car.

love the gto, but really hope it doesn't come out like that either, they've been doing a great job with the retro looks on the cars so I would hope they wouldn't kill it with the gto

The next generation Holden Monaro is to be based on the new Comaro and GTO. It would be pretty cool if it looked like the ol' HK, HG, HT Monaros of the late 60's early 70's.

I think it's pretty sweet, I can't wait to see this along with the 09 Camaro on the road.

the concepts always look more retro than the actual car they will produce and it always grows on you once you see it a few times. Like the newer Vettes. I remember the first time I saw them I was like "what the hell did they do" and now I really like them. I cant wait until they actually make them because it sounds really cool.
