I bought a used 2000 Grand Prix 4 door but the rear speakers didn't work so I bought some new ones. The problem is that I don't know how to put them in because I dont know how to remove the old ones. Some of my family members have tried but they dont know how to take them off, neither the rear dashboard or just the speakers themselves. Does anyone know how to remove them so I can put in my new ones?

Here is what All-Data says:
1. Remove the rear window trim panel.
2. Disengage the speaker retainer. Lift the speaker up slightly. Remove the speaker tabs from the opening from the rear window panel.
3. Remove the up level speaker bolts, if equipped.
4. Disengage the up level rear speakertabs from the rear window panel. Remove the up level rear speaker, if eqipped.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector(s) from the speaker(s).
6. Remove the rear speaker(s).

Installation in reverse order.
Hope this helps. :)

Should just pop out. It is probably held on with some small clips on the bottom. You should be able to pry(Be easy) it out from inside the car.

first you have to take the back seat out, it is a two piece seat. the bottom seat has some release latches ( some times you can just jerk the seat straight up ) then there are two nuts you take off, then pull forward a little, and lift the back up and take it out. next you have have three black push button clips, remove them ( easy to do with an upholstry removal tool.) take the rear window trim panel out and then there are four screws around the speakers ( disconnect the speakers first, makes it easier )

I did not want to take half the car apart, All I did was slowly rip up the top covering, saw the tab in the back, and ripped off. Next undo the tap in the trunk for the speaker, and remove the wires attatched, then from the inside pull back the sheilding, then at that stage you will be stuck with two tabs at the back holding u in, open the center seat and push the tabs through, now that u took it apart, it should be a cake walk to put it back to gether, just push on top, and push the tap in the back under the surround.

you can access the back of the speakers through the car trunk
