I have a 1994 Grand Prix and have oil leaking from the top end running down the Trans housing and it is not something I can see. Are these engines famous for this and if so what might I be looking to repair here? Are the intake gaskets possible problem?
Anyone know where I might find a flow diagram of the oil circuit for these? Also could use a parts exploded view if available on line somewhere.
Need to fix for my daughter
Thanks for any assistance Chuck (Strowhat)

You don't have any idea where the oil is coming from?

To me it looks like it is up high in the center of the engine I have not taken any parts off to get a better look. I can see oil just above the trans on the right hand side (nearest the firewall) this is all near the center of the engine under where the air inlet is going to intake. Not much room to see there.
Thanks again for any help.

it's probably a valve cover gasket leak... has it done anything odd or given signs of trouble? how does the oil look and have you checked the fluid levels over time to get an idea of what's going on?

I had problems with my old 96' grand Am and it was the intake manifold not the with oil circut, I would go to a dealer and ask an experienced mechanic.

I will be doing more looking at it on Monday and to me it looks like it is just under the inlet to the manifold from the air cleaner assy. to me it appears to be Intake manifold. That is if nothing is mounted there that would be in the oil circuit. Appreciate all the help!
Thanks, Chuck

Thread completed, took off the intake and changed gaskets had the leak at bell housing and found loose bolts in that area. About $85.00 and 10 hours labor ( I took my time)
Thanks for the space
