I just got 1996 yukon and i want to install an aftermarket deck. How do you take the old deck out. Do you just push on the two side plastic pieces and pull it out.

You should be able to pull the front piece of the dash straight off then unclip the 2 wiring harness over at the head light switch, after that the old head unit is held in buy just 2 or 3 screws. If then aftermarket deck is only a single DIN then you will need an install kit if it is DIN and a half then you are all ready to go

K guys well i put the deck in and it works! I got the dash kit too butt i have one problem. My deck wont stay in there tight what causes that what do i need to do

try to rearange the wires behind the deck so less pressure is pushing it forward and maybe jump up one size on the screws holding the install kit in
