I have 1996 jeep grand cherokee shows trouble code 1762 and 1763 which is the gov. pressure sensor.I am not sure how to test or correct this problem.would appreciate any help I can get to figure this one
out. Thanks

P1762 = "GOV Pressure Sen Offset Volts Too Low Or High"

To test this code accurately, you would need to have Chrysler connect their scan tool to it. With that, they can check the whole system.
The governor pressure sensor measures output pressure of the governor pressure solenoid valve. It is located in the governor body on the valve body transfer plate.
It is not very difficult to replace,
