Looks like GM is going to put up a Hybrid version of the Escalade as well, and it is going to supposedly see a 25 percent gain in fuel economy. Basically, you might be able to get 30 MPG on the freeway. Should be interesting to see how all of these big Hybrid SUV's play out, since GM is doing the same for the Tahoe and Yukon as well.

heh for real, ive always loved escalades tho. saw one for like 13k the other day--would have bought it except i would have drained my bank account in a few weeks on gas
wat i dont get is why companies (cough TOYOTA) are making their LUXURY models hybrids. people who can afford a lexus SUV prolly dont need a hybrid, not that some wont but it (especially environmental people), but it just seems like a bad idea to me.

Without getting too preachy or political, it is a stance some people make in order to keep from feeling guilty or to feel better about themselves, as though they are doing something to help the rest of the world...when they spend 80k on their car.

heh good point. just seems like kind of a waste to use taht technology somewhere where its not really needed.
