I just bought a 95 GT for a "fixer upper" and I am looking for the RIGHT performance MODs for it. I have stock 5.0 with headers and aftermarket pipes but that is it. I plan on putting, cold air, rear gears, intake, and a chip. Anyone have a good combo on these items that fit the car? I have heard of "overchipping" a car and it not adding much performance. What gears to put in? I will drive it for pleasure and do not want HORRIBLE gas mileage but want some get up go.............any ideas??

Have you looked into the various options that are available? Some off more tunability than others. Search around a bit and see what you find, then post back the brand names here. I'm sure someone can help you out :)

Seems like when it comes to these cars everone has an opinion. I thought asking around I might get a better overall answer since I have heard everything under the sun..............................I just don't want to put high dollar MODs that end up with little or no results...

Chips are worthless.
Throw on a cold-air kit, a set of underdrive pulleys, set the timing manually to 14 degrees initial, and have fun.

I have been told that chips can suck.....so if you dont hit it right then you are SOL and 250.00 out of pocket. I have been told cold air, after market induction YADA YADA.............an then I am there.......... Thanks for the reinforcement...........

I have been told undedrives are a waste? I have nver had them but it seems logical?
I do know that everyone says.........13 to 14 degrees above TDC is the ticket for free HP......the chip only does this and nothing else.
HOws about some aftermarket rear gears? I know I will ge t 1/4 times with that but any ideas?//
