Is a pretty good looking car IMO... It sure surley put Scion if on the map or at least a hit with the younger generation kids. A factory supercharger could only help... 164hp without the supercharger, 200hp with it, matching torque for both those figures. To start well under 20k sounds good too...

lol@how the insides are more attractive than the Cadillac CTS'

Wow, it does look good. Marked improvment over anything else they have built.

Front has hints of the Volvo S40. Definately not bad...

tsssk..for what it is it looks decent. It can't touch a Lincoln Navicross, but it's not bad

Actually a very nice interior, decent specs with the supercharger. It looks alright, but very ordinary, very toyotaish. Which doesn't do it any favors.

Shit looks better than a 355 Ferrari

DriverGT, you act like the front end of your Prelude isn't reminiscent of the Eagle Premier...

I think it's pretty alright, and I like the front end. Under $20k, with 164hp, that's sweet. I mean, the thing's so not my dream car, but if I were in the market I'd consider it...

It's amazing how many other cars you can see in that design... the front has shades of the Volvo S40 and the R34 Skyline GT-R, from the front 1/4 view I see a bit of Opel Astra as well as the Honda Accord coupe, the rear 3/4 view seems to give bits of the Hyundai Accent, and that interior is Nissan Murano.

Does this use the Corolla platform? I wonder how it'll handle. Also, does this replace the Celica? Because if it doesn't, there will sure be a lot of overlap.

If they use the Corolla platform, the handling = :(

The Celica's getting up there, it was released in '99. I think I would take a Celica over this car, but I think I'd have trouble seeing the same people shop for both cars. The Celica looks like so much more of a sportscar...

I've heard two things about it on the Celica battle field..

A. I read that Toyota feels the Celica appeals to a more hardcore driver rather than the TC. However its not like most of the Celica's sold are GT-S. So it will clearly be stepping on feet.

B. Supra will return...

Do Celica GTs still handle well? I haven't driven either, but if the handling of the GT's at least close to the GT-S', then I'd consider one. Our Corolla has abysmal handling, but it scoots alright and would actually be almost peppy with a 5-speed...

Has anyone heard any news about a Celica replacement? It seems like Toyota is either keeping quiet on it, or there isn't going to be one, or that this car is it. Because the current Celica is getting old.

The Celica GT, I wouldn't know... The Celica GT-S is pretty kick ass.

"The new tC is a 2-door coupe built on the Avensis / Caldina platform, sharing the 2700mm wheelbase, strut front and double-wishbones rear suspensions with its sedan sisters"

I dunno.. Maybe it'll be ok.

No offical weight numbers yet... I've heard from 2500-2900 is what I've been hearing... Nothing is known yet though.

Apparently the Celica will be V6 for next gen. It should make way next year I'd guess. Toyota usually refreshes a car two years before it is to be replaced.

You never know about a Toyota's plans... They are damn good at keeping it under wraps.

LOL, they're damn good at keeping it under wraps cause they're never actually doing anything...

You act like IS300 Sport Cross isn't Toyota's flagship vehicle.

It look's all right, much better than the rest of the Scion lineup IMO..

They've done this car thinking aftermarket IMO. Great tunning material. And as I see Volvo S40 in the front end, I also see Nissan Skyline.

This car doesn't have any personality of its own and looks ordinary. But that's what tunning is all about and from where I can see, the whole front end is integrated to the bumper. If I'm not wrong about it, it is quite easy to make this car looks very different.

Yeah, i'm in complete denial. Why don't you tell me what you drive, i'm sure we can dig up a bunch of cars that are "reminiscent".

yeah, but which came out first? around the same time, wasn't it?

anyways, the TC....(Chrysler made a car called the TC). From the rear, it looks like a cab-forward design, from the front more of an upright, Corolla-ish look.
Overall, i like it. A bit on the conservative side, given their recent attempts to push the limits...and considering that it's aimed at such a young crowd. I fear it'll turn into a chick car pretty quick.

I know right the Solara is stank, none the less I'll defend it since you clearly think I give a **** about it...

Shit has got more torque than any Honda car I can think of. Plus I know it'll dog your car a good bit. Shit is funny to me though. LOL@solara when I could have a EVO for the money.

No doubt, considering it costs three times as much and is 11 years newer.
