Well we are all (or at least me) not satisfyed with the teeny 108 hp engine that scion/toyota gave us. sooo..... i was wonder if an engine swap could be a reasonable possibility.

we could use the 180 hp 2zz-ge engine from the celica gt-s or even the 130 hp 1zz-ge from the corolla but im not sure if that would be compatible enough to really catch on as the b16/b18 did for the honda civic and the tegs, and if it would be a reasonable price for the 64 hp gain.

Im not sure what kind of engine the scion has, but i know that the 1992-1997's corolla 4afe or 7afe (i forgot which one) had 110hp. that was the closest match i could find, but it does not have the vvt-i (and the scion does i think) so im thinking that toyota created a new engine all together.

your imput???

*dont quote me on the hp thingys haha

heh, i've been thinking about putting a Hemi into the xA :D I dunno if it'd fit but i'm sure things could be cut and such to make it fit, maybe with a big hood scoop or something. I want the engine that comes in those new dodge wagons that look like hurses. 350hp, RArarRrr!!! Then I'd pimp it out like that red scion photochop in another thread! ;)

Honestly I think that would be really stupid. I mean first I'm sure you'd have to extend the front end just so that the engine would fit. I say if you're going to do anything to make it faster just go with a supercharger or a turbo. And the engine in the new Dodge wagons (Magnum) is a hemi.
