Did anyone see the rally race where Gillies Panizzi being 42 seconds ahead pulls a nice little 4 wheel doughnut in his 206 for the fans in a turn. He even had time to throw up a wave in the middle of the spin. Just true driving skill. I'm watching it on speed channel right now! Amazed everytime I see it! The navigator had no clue what was about to happen, the look on his face was definitely priceless! :D

Yeah, controlled manuvers like that takes a lot of skill and training to do stuff like that. Looks as cool as hell when they do something like that.

I mean to throw up a wave to a fan while spinning is just crazy. When those people had those vids from Denmark of Driver X and Driver Y driving those Supra and Cosworth I truly believe that those guys are rally drivers. I mean you know they have to showboat! What better way than make a vid and get away with it! :D

Sorry about that M Prophet so I'm a little slow! :D
I believe the second vid with the supra and the ford cosworth was shot in denmark only because denmark police got hold of the video and would only release certain parts of it. No parts being release that showed the drivers faces.

Why would the Denmark police sieze the video and release only parts of it???

One of the two videos is speeded up...the one with the 911.

Well I don't exactly remember download the second vid and watch it, it has a whole section in the center talking about the drivers and how police had seized video of the car. The whole story is on the vid.

i don't think either of them is speeded up, and they're both in stockholm.
why do they purposely crash the Cosworth at the end?

I believe it was supposed to be part of an indy film, not just a little video clip on the net, but after the run-ins with the law it never happened. That's my understanding of things anyway.

The police never caught them, the video clearly indicated that fact. They did not use certain angles and frames so that the drivers would not be revealed and hence sought for criminal charges. The police never got a hold of the video, they saw what you saw...on the net...and no more.
If the police got the video we wouldn't see any of it, as the camera and it's contents would be confiscated and labeled into evidence - it would never be released to the public after that point.
They did hire a helicopter to film the two cars in action, but in pre-production editing, scrapped all of it because it would have easily implicated the helicopter company/agency and the pilot as an accesory to criminal charges.
While I'm no film expert, I don't support the claim the the Porsche video was sped up. There are far too many instances of something called "real time reference points". The only time it looked like he was going really fast was because...he was going really fast. With the camera shaking like it did, I imagine his speed was above 150mph (250kmh).

I remember seeing a scene with a lighthouse in it and the light was turning at a very fast rate. It was turning at like 60 RPM...the whole thing just looked unnatural. I don't think I have the video anymore so I can't check it.

Yea I remember what your talking about Persid I think thats why a lot of people believe the vid to be sped up. That lighthouse light spins incredible fast, faster than any lighthouse light I've ever seen. And when living up in Boston to travel to Cape Cod is no great feat where lighthouses are plenty.
