I have my doubts the S4 was completely stock because I was in two of them, teaching, last spring and I don't remember that much power. That's the claim, though. Mind you, they impressed me nonetheless - damn good for a daily driver sedan!

I am guessing that you don't have the right codec. Since I had to reinstall windows yesterday I too was unable to see it - it just played as a sound file.

I'll have to find that codec...

Edit: I couldn't tell what car the Camera was in. All I could see was the Z06 rocket ahead accompanied by an incredible soundtrack.

Yea what I saw was a yellow ZO6 fly passed both other cars! The sound playing was two guys talking, saying damn, he pulled on us, now lets try to pull on him. But the ZO6 was well gone! :D

Man, I can't stand those codec windows media files. :mad: That's all I get too. All that loading a video with sound, and all I get is nothing more than a over-rated-kilobyte sound file. :mad:

Oh you guys were talking about the DIVX? I thought you were talking about the basic Windows files. It has something to do with the compressors and I just haven't had time to screw around with it.

The ZO6? Bullshit! That thing's been breaking into the mid to low 12's. That thing gives base Vipers a hell of a run.

Fords missing out on this American supercar battle though. Imagine a GTS class at LeMans including the new Oreca Viper GTS-R, C5R, and GT40 racer plus the Saleen S7R, Porsche Carrera GT, and the Prodrive 550 Maranello? Oh goodness would that not be lovely?

If Ford doesn't jump all over this opportunity to build an amazing sports car I will be quite annoyed.

Well, that ZO6 was either running sick, or the driver just wasn't ropming on it. I can't see how a stock M3 can blow away a 405 HP ZO6. A ZO6 running 13's. Yeah, right.:rolleyes: My TransAm can run 13.5's in stock form. Low 13's with the Ram Air option.

I don't think that video can tell you everything. And I know that a ZO6 is quicker than 13 in the 1/4. ;)

IF the Z06 was putting up a fight, and I doubt it, a stock M3 is good for low 13s driven by God and should have its ass kicked hard by a z06. And that's all.

But maybe it's a turbocharged M3 with 500hp. You can't tell just looking at a video, now can you...[comp]

Uh OShama, 13.1 is a pretty consistent number for the M3's quarter mile and someone posted a time slip where they broke into 12s....But I'm sure you knew.

Even if that M3 is modded, 10's on slicks is pretty fast.

Maybe the Z06 was a supercharged 427 monster running 800hp, but it still got beat by a stock E36...you never know, do you? :)

Well, didn't you guys say that M3 was capable of doing high 12's in the 1/4? A good set of slicks can drop your time by a good 1 to 1 and a half seconds. I thought you were referring to like high 10's and whatnot on slicks. Slightly modded, I could see it happening on the perfect run.

Maybe with an LS1 dropped in there and some rubber compound sprayed on the asphalt.

And I also don't believe a M3 could get into 12s easily. Maybe if you drove it the same way people drive Camaros into 12s, but what's the point?

So if the ZO6 is even slower, then the Viper should even be easily beaten by a Ford Focus. *sigh* Let's face it, you're just miffed cause the ZO6 moves out as fast as they do. One little video doesn't prove they don't. ;) :D

Stock M3s have broken into the 12s, but it was closer to a 13 than a 12.5, it was a 12.79. I imagine with SMG, a 12.7 is very possible. As for Thomas, slicks are not going to drop a high 12s car even close to 10.

Dude, I said possible high 10's on a one in a million launch that's just absolutely perfect. Slicks can drop like 1 to 1 and a half seconds to your 1/4 mile time. More like mid to high 11's for consistent runs on slicks. And I also said if it was slightly modded.

1 in a million launches don't happen and if they do you still can't consider them. I know Shaman and HRF have about 200 of those one a million 1/4 times for their cars, but I prefer reality.

Dude, you're talking about cars that are modded into the 9's in the 1/4. I thought we were talking un-modded here?
