he must be... coz he refuses to take the contract when he was offered it in the middle of 2001.....
he think he is better than frentzen? dream on dutch boy...
A downbeat Jos Verstappen has refused to speak at length about Arrows decision to release him from his contract in order to take on Heinz-Harald Frentzen in his place.
The Dutchman had been thrilled when the team confirmed him for 2002 in June last year, as it gave him continuity of employment and allowed him to fully focus on his racing rather than searching for a drive this year.
However, rumours soon surfaced that he could be replaced by the German, and this was finally confirmed today when he took to the track in the A23 car.
Verstappen also stated that he had not been personally informed by Arrows, as his manager Huub Rothengatter told formula1.com earlier today.
"Until this moment I still have not heard anything official from the team, I heard it from Huub Rothengatter, which pointed me to the information," Verstappen said on his website.
"Of course I am very disappointed. Further I do not wish to give more comments on this because I first want to get used to this."
Verstappen is very unlikely to find a drive this season, although there are rumours of possible testing roles at Toyota and Ferrari.
